Building in public

We're getting Rescue My Workday found. In public.

Getting found is the last step we build for a practice, after it can handle more business. Our own practice is ready, so we're doing that step on ourselves first, with the real numbers every Friday. No made-up results, and the slow weeks stay on the page too.

Day zero

  • October 6, 2026: Searching our own name online showed a different company with a similar name.
  • October 6, 2026: Our site-health score for search and AI: 64 out of 100.
  • October 8, 2026: Google: our name at #2. Zero clicks from Google search so far.
  • October 9, 2026: Not in Google's top 50 for any of the 14 searches mortgage agents make when shopping for help.
  • October 9, 2026: Link strength 1 out of 100: almost no trusted sites point to us yet.
  • October 9, 2026: Asked who helps Ontario mortgage agents handle more leads without more admin, Google's AI named CRM vendors and virtual-assistant firms. Not us.

The scoreboard

What we did, week by week

October 12, 2026: Telling search engines what changed

  • Published this page.
  • Published our first guide, aimed at the biggest shopping search, 'mortgage leads': Buying mortgage leads in Canada, with Arthur's first-hand view of why he never bought them.
  • Set our goal: be the business AI answers name when a mortgage agent asks for help with their business. We now track 15 of those questions every week in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI.
  • Rewrote the one sentence search engines and AI tools read about us, so it says what we actually do: take the repetitive work off an agent's plate so they have time to build their authority and help more clients.
  • Set up instant notices to Bing whenever a page changes, instead of waiting for it to come back on its own.
  • Added 'last updated' dates to our sitemap, the list of pages we give Google and Bing.
  • Made the redirects from last month's old pages permanent, so search engines stop listing them.

October 9, 2026: Picking the right searches

  • Chose the 14 searches agents make when shopping for help: CRMs, leads, getting calls answered, and getting found. Advertisers pay up to US$15 a click for some of them, which tells us buyers type them.
  • Recorded day-zero positions: none in the top 50 yet.
  • Bing now lists about 50 of our pages, and a search for our name shows us first on DuckDuckGo.
  • Still wrong: Google's AI describes our previous offer. Next: ask Google to re-read the main pages.

October 7, 2026: Fixes from our own audit

  • Fixed text that ran together for screen readers and AI tools, and the heading order on the team page.
  • Linked our Instagram profile in the business details.

October 6, 2026: Search and AI basics

  • Rewrote the page descriptions Google shows so they stop getting cut off.
  • Added business details that tell Google and AI tools who we are, who runs it and his designations.
  • Added a plain summary file for AI tools and our contact email on every page.
  • Added the site to Bing, which Microsoft Copilot runs on and ChatGPT's search draws on.
  • Accessibility check: 0 issues on every page, on desktop and phone.
  • Site-health score: 64 to 75 out of 100.

October 5, 2026: The new site goes live

  • Launched the new rescuemyworkday.com, built for Ontario mortgage agents first.
  • Plain, fast pages that search engines and AI tools can read without running any code.

Next

  • Publish our next guide: the Capacity Gap, why more leads can mean more work instead of more business.
  • Then: what to automate in a mortgage practice and what to keep personal, and how agents build authority so clients come to them.
  • Ask Google to re-read the main pages so AI answers describe what we do today.
  • Link our LinkedIn and set up our Google Business Profile.

Why this matters to your practice

It's the same work we do for a mortgage agent once the follow-up is fixed: pages that answer the questions your clients ask, details that tell Google and AI tools who you are, and the real numbers every week. If you'd like to know where your own practice stands, start with the free audit.
